Julia Farr aims towards a South Australia that fully includes its citizens living with disability. It does this via its strategic aims which encompass: searching for better practice, development of excellent service delivery, raising awareness, training, consultancy and development, policy development, and giving financial support via its grants – where applications from organisations with a good idea, especially where the idea supports our vision, and is consistent with the goals of choice and inclusion.It is via one such grant applications that the Families4Families ABI Support Network has been established and is running this Pilot Program.

This program is available for people with an acquired brain injury who are at risk of social isolation. It assists people with brain injury to participate in the community, and establish and maintain social networks. The services it offers include: social interaction and integration – including recreation activities, skill development workshops and it utilizes support from voluntary mentors.The Community Re-Entry Program is the auspicing agency for the Julia Farr grant and, as such, is providing an enormous amount of assistance and support to the Families4Families ABI Support Network.
